About the project
At the heart of every great musical composition lies collaboration, storytelling, and a shared creative vision. A diverse group of skilled musicians, each with unique backgrounds and influences, came together with a singular goal: to learn from one another, exchange experiences, and inspire each other in a constructive, dynamic environment. This collective needed an identity that would encapsulate its essence—one that harmonized their passion for music with the city that brought them together.
AR Studio was commissioned to craft a compelling visual identity that would not only reflect the collective’s spirit but also seamlessly integrate musical symbolism with a strong sense of place. Our approach was to fuse Vancouver’s iconic landmarks with the organic curves of an acoustic guitar, transforming the city's skyline into the body of the instrument. This design solution not only reinforces the group's deep connection to their environment but also visually conveys the fusion of artistry and place.
To maintain a sense of neutrality—essential for a collective of individuals—we developed a refined monochromatic palette that references the raw, unfiltered nature of songwriting, evoking the simplicity of pen and paper. This approach also allowed for a clear distinction from Studio Raphael’s vibrant, color-rich parent branding.
Beyond identity design, we extended the brand across multiple platforms. Most notably, we led the branding and marketing efforts for a 2024 Musical Showcase Tour, designing posters, social media assets, and merchandise, ensuring a cohesive and memorable presence across all touchpoints.
