About the project

Commissioned for the Canadian Ultimate Championship in Victoria, BC, this branding project aimed to create an identity that honored the grandeur of classic sporting events while integrating distinctive elements that celebrate both Ultimate as a sport and Victoria’s unique character. The challenge was to develop a timeless yet dynamic visual identity, balancing the prestige of national competition with the grassroots spirit of the Ultimate community.


Drawing inspiration from iconic sports branding seen in global tournaments, we crafted a design that exudes strength, energy, and legacy, while staying true to Ultimate’s unique culture of spirit, teamwork, and inclusivity. The logo and supporting graphics incorporate clean, bold typography, dynamic movement lines, and a refined yet approachable color palette, ensuring high visibility and impact across apparel, merchandise, and digital platforms.


To anchor the event to Victoria, BC, we integrated subtle references to the city’s coastal geography, natural beauty, and local landmarks, weaving them seamlessly into the visual system. This created a sense of place, giving both athletes and spectators a design that feels unmistakably tied to its host city.
