About the project
Submarino is a boutique library in Querétaro, México, known for its meticulously curated book collection. The business operates on two fronts: a monthly subscription service offering three book rentals per month and an online bookstore for direct purchases.
The website was designed with a focus on the membership service, aligning with the library’s primary business objective. Considering the shift in consumer behavior during the 2020 pandemic, the user experience was optimized to ensure a seamless subscription process, encouraging users to easily join and start enjoying their books.
The brand already featured a distinctive illustration style. Since the original illustrator was unavailable, I was tasked with replicating and adapting the existing style to maintain visual consistency. These illustrations were integrated into the web design to enhance user engagement and align with the library’s creative identity.
This project emphasized simplicity and accessibility while maintaining the artistic charm that sets Submarino apart.
