About the project
HomeWiz is a proof-of-concept app that attempts to tackle problems that might come up in the everyday process of a UX team, this project aims to simulate the team process of a startup Ux project, in this case, the challenge stood in the Furniture Industry.
Problem Statement
Purchasing furniture for a new home on a limited budget and without personal transportation presents a significant challenge for young adults and newcomers in Canada. Designing an interior without expertise is time-consuming and difficult, especially when selecting items from different suppliers. Additionally, trust issues with local suppliers can arise, particularly for those unfamiliar with the quality or conditions.

Generic recommendations from many platforms do not cater to specific user needs.
Users spend significant time researching and comparing products from different providers to find the best match for their needs.
Target's customer base has a limited budget and limited mobility.
Users may have difficulty visualizing how products will look in their space.
Users often find it challenging to select new interior products that seamlessly integrate with their existing decor.
Inconsistencies in product descriptions and specifications across different providers can confuse users.

What solution do you propose (P)? A search engine that aggregates results from multiple affiliates, enabling users to compare products tailored to their specific needs.
Why is that viable for this need (V)? The technology for such a solution already exists and is commonly used in flight searches and other comparison sites.
How is it minimal (M)? A straightforward website that allows registered users to save their searches.
How will you validate if it is successful? Success can be measured by the number of users clicking on recommendations and making purchases from affiliates.
What metrics are you tracking, and how will you obtain data? Tracking daily usage, product link clicks, common searches, space dimensions submitted, and most clicked products will provide valuable insights.
